Yes. A donation receipt will be sent to the email address you provide on the donation page form. Please be sure to keep a copy of your receipt for tax purposes.
Absolutely. The security and confidentiality of your information is our highest priority. We use industry-standard SSL (secure socket layer) technology to protect your information. We will not sell, trade or share your personal information with anyone else, nor send donor mailings on behalf of other organizations, and we will only share personal information if you have given us specific permission to do so.

Yes! We have partnered with Access Foundation, a 501(c)3 tax-exempt organization, and your donation is tax-deductible within the guidelines of US law. To claim a donation as a deduction on your U.S. taxes, please keep your email donation receipt as your official record. The EIN for the organization is 84-5185051.

For the $100,000 of donations Gift a Plate will cover the credit card processing fee, so 100% of the donation goes to the cause. After that our payment processor Stripe, for each credit card transaction - - charges the following fees: 2.2% + $0.30 transaction fee for Visa, Mastercard, and Discover; An additional 1% fee is added for American Express; An additional 1% fee is added for international payments.

Once we’ve matched you with a nonprofit, we will figure out how many meals they need. We are hoping to provide 500 meals a day to each of the local food banks.
Our goal is to provide nutritious, balanced meals during the COVID-19 pandemic. We recommend that meals provide a balanced source of nutrition, with protein and vegetables.
Yes. There are certain safety guidelines around packaging and preparing food, and these stipulations may vary depending on your location. Please reference local guidelines and CDC recommendations when preparing and packaging food.
We request that you individually package all meals rather than catering-style packaging. This helps ensure meals can be distributed individually while reducing the risk of cross-contamination.

Your local community! Gift a Plate helps find donors and raise money to cover the cost of the meals.
Depending on your organization’s need, we aim to provide 500 meals a day. Donations are made in $12 increments, each of which provide one meal.
We are always adding to our network shelters that are in the most need in each city we are active in. The current shelter organizations we are supporting are:
